Better than expected Typically, a themed restaurant with a prime location in a tourist town is not my type of place. Usually overpriced, overrated, and average in quality.
Not the case with Gun Barrel. Friendly service, fun place for the whole family, interesting atmosphere, and good food. Our group of 8 ordered the elk chops, rib-eye, ribs, and chicken. Everyone was pleased.

Best Steak Around We have been going to Jackson Hole since 2008. The Gun Barrel is a most stop for us each time. They prefer to cook the food medium rare so make sure you request another way if that is not okay with you. I can only think of positive things to say so make sure you stop here - you will not be dissapointed.

I love the Gun Barrel! Every year for over 15 years, I go to Jackson Hole for a little skiing and snowmobiling. On every trip, there's two stops I have to make. One, lunch at Bubbas and two, dinner at the Gun Barrel.
Unfortunately, since Bubba's moved, it's just not the same so I've dropped that one off my list. However, year after year, the Gun Barrel continues to impress! The Old West atomsphere is like no other and the service truly spoils you. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet.
Last time I was there I had a Wedge and the Big Sky Rib Eye, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Served with awesome mashed potatoes, some can't get enough fried onion things and amazingly fresh green beans. I had definately died and gone to heaven!
If you're in Jackson Hole, the Gun Barrel is a can't miss.
